July 2002 -Thanks to Rural Telecom Foundation, Kalleda has the highest percentage (65%) of households with phone connections in Rural India.

A successful fundraiser raised Rs. 17 lakhs to fund the cost of Kalleda, Matelda schools and teacher education programs for neighboring villages.
